After studies of civil engineering at the Bauhaus university of Weimar followed work as an assistant at the chair for structural design, timber construction and building physics at the Ruhr university in Bochum. In the course of this activity the doctorate was conferred in the area of research into prefabricated, innovative fašade systems in 2003.

After 2003 I was project engineer in a nationwide active civil engineering firm and involved in the planning of public buildings as well as architecturally demanding structures. From 2004 to 2006 I was procurist and chief of business operations in the area of building physics at the MFPA Leipzig GmbH (Institute for Materials Research and Testing). Here, I was especially involved in the field of building physics, testing procedures, supervision and certifications as well as material and construction research.

With the position of technical director at Hightex GmbH working in the field of lightweight membrane structures, the knowledge obtained at various engineering forms since begin of my studies was enhanced.
